They said donating blood makes one stays young, some said it can even cure diseases. But whatever one's reason, the most significant is to help those in need. Imagine how a pint can save lives.
The whole process usually takes less than 30 minutes, starting with a brief medical checkup to see if we are fit to donate blood. Few drops are first taken from our fingertips, which is tested in some blue solution to determine our haemoglobin level. Once the check-up is passed, its time for the real show.
Now this is the only time it hurts a little, macam kena gigit semut saja. Once the vein is located, a local anaesthetic (spellcheck pls..) is injected. Then a needle as big as a matchstick is inserted and amazingly, you won't feel a thing. There.. the pint is drawn. All you need to do is relax.
