On another note, Mr. BruneiResources has decided to pack up his extremely informative blogspot to concentrate on his work. His interesting entries and historical photos has been a daily must read for me and surely I will miss it. I just hope this will be temporary, however he will still maintain his resourceful official website.

Today's showcase features the gift from a groom to his bride.

Herewith some shots (just some!) from Major Ismadi's and Haslena's Bersanding ceremony, which marks the main event of a Brunei Malay wedding. I was just tagging along practicing myself on wedding photography just by using one lens i.e. 50mm f/1.8. Of course, this won't work if you're on 'official duty' to cover the wedding, you will need to carry your full gear.

Some sneaks on the Berbedak ceremony for Major Ismadi, with 50mm f/1.8 as my primary weapon and minimal usage of flash. I prefer the natural ambience but that doesn't mean I don't need my flash at all.
