When we first started, it was only a handful of people. Outing plans and discussions had to be posted on each other's tagboards with the chance of miscommunication. Outings after outings, our group grew, tables getting longer during JC breakfast sessions. So we thought, we need an online 'headquarters'. Hence Brunei Forever Forum was created with the intention of communicating more effectively.

At the time of this writing, there are 184 members registered under the forum consisting of photobloggers, photographers from professional to hobbyist or just shooting for fun. The forum is open to everyone, from otais to juniors, the only membership fee is 'friendship'.

Yesterday, BFF celebrated it's first anniversary at Blue Eden Restaurant in Kiulap. I missed the group photo session because I came late after covering a wedding.

QQestore called today to tell me that I might only be getting Felicity back on Wednesday. Apparently, they sent it back to the supplier in Singapore and further delay due to the holidays (Good Friday, etc). I still don't know what exactly caused the 'Err 99' crap.

Another mishap happened yesterday afternoon, I was taking pics for our inhouse posters using the company's camera Canon G5 but with my 2GB Kingston Elite Pro CF card. Frankly, my least favourite card due to it's slow buffering despite written "High Speed" on it. Once we wrapped up the shooting, I was reviewing the pics on the LCD when all hell broke lose. "Memory card error" alarm! Thereafter, basically the card was unreadable from any pc. 

Asked around and Googled here and there, I turned to Photoresque and there! I managed to recover the photos with only 2 images gone. Save us from setting up another photoshoot. So I decided, no more Kingston Elite Pro. It's cheap for sure, bought it for $45 only, and that's what I paid for, an afternoon that was almost useless. Equipment malfunction during assignments is a photographer's worst fear!

The Man of the Week

I took Felicity on her first outing to the 2nd KB Bloggers Night last Saturday. I was happy shooting around with a new toy when suddenly she failed when I press the shutter button. A message appeared "ERR 99". Ok Houston we have a problem! It also happened around 5-6 times when I was shooting a wedding on Sunday, had to cabut the battery and reinstall before she works fine once again. Today I sent Felicity back to QQ while it's still under warranty. Just when I thought of extra security by having 2 cam bodies, it all turned sour!
