Meet the choir team who performed our National Anthem and various patriotic songs on our National Day. Believe me, they made the day even more wonderful with their harmonious voices. I was told that most of them are students from Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah and vocal trainers from Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Today the 10 finalists of Kristal Kids Idol 2007 battled out their singing talents in front of an overwhelming crowd that flocked The Mall since 11am. I'm covering for one of the finalists Azy. Comfortably voted in the top 3 with a short stint at the top spot, Azy is one of the favourites to win the crown this year besides EV and Rafi. She finished 2nd place after entertaining the crowd with Terlalu Istimewa (o.a. Adibah Noor) with full control of her voice and maintaining her charismatic confidence.

A day we've been anticipating with anxiety, our 23rd National Day grand celebration. It was a day full of colours and patriotism. For us shutterbugs, we had our own way of celebrating this day by clicking away on our toys. We started the day by having the much debated Roti Telur Jantan or double-egg prata and Kopi-O Kaw, a local term for double expresso, or Long Black? After breakfast, the snapshooters were deployed to various locations within the 'warzone', each one of them with their own mission.

There were too many subjects and moments to capture. Too many raw files to process, 2gb of memory card was not enough, towards the end I had to shoot some in jpeg just to conserve more space. Here are my 1st series of images taken from the 'snapshooter warzone' today. Happy 23rd National Day to everyone.

It's our 23rd National Day today, the nationwide celebration will be held tomorrow morning and will be a wonderful day for us shutterbugs. Lots and lots of subjects and moments to capture. As for today, I got an engagement to attend, got a chance to do photo shooting too. 100+ raw files to process, for now, I gotta get my gear ready for tomorrow.
